My Birthplace:  Puerto Natales, Chile

You are looking at the southern tip of South America.  If you can find Puerto Natales, you have found my home.  My grandparent's home is still in our family and we go down to visit every few years.  My dad's nanny of 55 years still lives there today.

Here is my great grandmother on the left and my grandmother on the right. The two little ones are my aunts who live in Natales today. My mom is in my abuelas belly in this picture.

This is my dad's family. My dad is the little one on the right with my tio Fernando next to my grandfather.

We came to the United States in 1976 as political refugees. If you're not sure what that is, write it down and look it up. That's my brother Marcelo who lives in Evanston today and works for LSNA in Chicago and my sister Alejandra who also lives in Evanston and teaches special education in Chicago Public Schools.
